An Open Letter  
It's February 28th, i.e. the end of February, and yes, I know, the BJ2 Remake still isn't out. 

Let me preface this by saying that I appreciate everyone's support, and the fact that people play and enjoy my games.  It's flattering to know that people eagerly anticipate the release of new games in the series, and I am grateful to everyone for the kind words and enthusiasm.

Now, I'd like to make something clear, and that is the difference between a goal and a deadline.  When I said the end of February, I said my goal was the end of February.  I didn't give a specific release date, because there's really no way I can predict one, short of completing the game and then holding out on releasing it just to comply with the set date.

The fact is, with a full-time job and reliance on other people who are doing me the favor of helping with my hobby for free, there's no way I can impose a deadline.  If the games were commercial, that would be another story.  However, since I can only work on the games at certain moments, and since the people who help me also have their own lives and jobs and loved ones, it would be unfair of me to be down people's throats to get it all done because, in the end, it's just an unnecessary little side project done for fun.

So again, I'm sorry I didn't meet my goal.  Hopefully the game will be out very soon, but until it is, all I can ask for is your patience.

Well, sorry if that came across as overly pompous, I didn't intend it that way. I can only tell what's working for me, doesn't mean is has to work for everybody else. You can laugh all you want though - I work on project for my own enjoyment and its coming along just fine. You won't have to play it, I promise.

But IMHO, besides it's obvious entertainment value, Grundy's work SHOULD also be an inspiration to his fans. It shows what's possible to achieve as a little private side project if you only try. Doesn't even have to be game making, you know.
