For those of you who are displeased by the lack of updates to the livejournal, I've started a Twitter.  Updates will be much more frequent than here, but they're mostly stream of consciousness nonsense and/or rants.  Of course, someone might find it interesting, so there it is.

Twitter everywhere
Yay, I noticed your post on the AGS forum and am already following you. I'm on twitter as http://twitter.com/wbentoch, where I give short updates on the development of my own game among other things.

Twitter seems to be gaining momentum. I and several people I know happened to join Twitter just recently, too.

Thanks for making this series. We're looking forward to this new Ben Jordan game!

All the best from the Netherlands!

I noticed you follow Rockstar Games on Twitter and I wonder if the 'moral choices' in BJ8 are inspired by GTA4 in any way - even though this is a completely different genre. So, remembering how great "The Intervention" by Arcade Fire sounded with the credits of BJ7, maybe if one of the moral choices leaves Ben alone without Alice, the good exit music would be "No Sex for Ben" by the Rapture from GTA4? Just a joke. Keep up the good work.

Well, I read the news on Twitter about you not releasing the game this year, and quite honestly, I'm bitterly disappointed. I hope it gets release soon :(

Yeah, but it seems we will get BJ2 Deluxe instead. Sure, BJ8 would have been great, but seeing as BJ1 Deluxe was practically a different game with all new puzzles, I hope that BJ2 Deluxe will be similar. This eases my dissapointment a lot. :-)

Bj2 deluxe eh?
Sounds good, maybe I'll update my review!

anyways, just reviewed Bj 6

(Btw again Uhfgood's Game Reviews has now become Indie Flux)

We are all, of course, appreciative of the great work you've done in the past, but we'd also really appreciate it if you would stop making new games or remaking your old games and just FINISH the last Ben Jordan case.

Re: Tangents
I understand, but after I finish Case 8 I have no intention of going back to the Ben Jordan series, so I'd like to take care of fixing previous mistakes and being satisfied with the series as a whole before I finish it. Case 2 is the last one of the games I'm going to remake, and at the latest it will be done by early 2010.

Re: Tangents
Yes, I also feel that Case 2 really needs a remake to fit with the rest of the series. Can't wait to play it :) I also hope that the entire saga will be released on DVD once it's finished. I'd love to buy it, just to express my appreciation!

Re: Tangents
Could you at least give us the estimated time frame of releases on both games? Please? No pressure intended.

Re: Tangents
The best I can give you is "when they're done."

I have a full time job now so really the only significant time I have to work on the games is evenings and weekends, delaying them more than before.

I'm trying my best to have the Case 2 remake out by the end of this year/early next year, and Case 8 by some time in 2010.

I think it's great that you work on finishing the series even with a full time job! Many people understimate how much time goes into making an adventure game. I too would like to play BJ8 sooner rather than later, but I'm looking forward to BJ2 Deluxe too. Any new Ben Jordan is welcome.

It's a bit sad to hear though, that after BJ8 you don't plan to revisit the series ever again. Well, perhaps you'll change your opinion one day. :) And I guess you'll make other adventure games?

I want to cry :'( Please, I need to play Ben Jordan 8 and discover how the history ends!

Well, thanks for all the great games and all the pleasant hours I passed trying to help Ben in his journey. =D
